One-on-One Ousia Analysis

 

Ousia Analysis offers private sessions devoted to recursive dialectical inquiry, education, symbolic literacy, and the examination of the individual and collective structures through which the “I” comes to understand itself.

 

William Apple works within this practice as an educator, mentor, and guide.

 

He is not a licensed psychologist, therapist, counselor, or mental-health provider. Ousia Analysis is nonclinical and does not provide psychotherapy, counseling, diagnostic assessment, psychological treatment, crisis intervention, or mental-health care. (More about Ousia Analysis.⁠)

 

Sessions draw upon analytical psychology, psychoanalytic traditions, Individual Psychology, Psychosynthesis, pre-Socratic and Socratic inquiry, and philosophical, political, mystical, esoteric and occult traditions.

 

The conversation develops through the material you bring and the questions that emerge between us, with time to examine both the experience and the assumptions through which it is being understood. (Read about the practice and what to expect.⁠)

 

Beginning the Work

 

The first step is a complimentary 30-minute Discovery Call, where we can meet, discuss what has brought you here, and consider whether working together appears appropriate. Donations for the time are appreciated and entirely optional.

 

If we mutually decide to proceed, you will complete an application and book a 60-minute intake session for $75 USD.

 

The application includes questions about your history, circumstances, and interests, and requires your birth date, birth time, and birth location.

 

The intake fee includes preparation of your natal chart, an Ousian astrological interpretation, and our initial discussion of that material.

 

The interpretation brings together Jungian and alchemical approaches, Psychosynthesis, and the Huber tradition as a symbolic foundation for inquiry.

 

Completion of the application and intake is required before ongoing sessions begin. (More about astrology and its place within Ousia Analysis.⁠)

 

Session Length and Contribution

 

Ongoing sessions are offered through a Pay What You Choose model:

​

• Two-hour appointments: 1 hour and 50 minutes of session time, with a minimum contribution of $50 USD.

• One-hour appointments: 55 minutes of session time, with a minimum contribution of $25 USD.

​

Two-hour appointments are the recommended standard and are strongly encouraged, because sustained inquiry benefits from enough time to enter the material, follow the relationships and questions that emerge, and arrive at a considered place to pause.

 

One-hour appointments remain available when a shorter session better accommodates your time, financial circumstances, or capacity.

 

If your financial circumstances allow you to contribute more than the minimum, that contribution helps maintain access for people with fewer resources, including those attending at a reduced contribution or through a no-cost placement.

 

That support is deeply appreciated, and the attention and care offered within sessions remain consistent across contribution amounts. (More about the non-capitalist orientation of this practice and its approach to payment.⁠)

 

No ongoing commitment is required. Twenty-four hours’ notice for cancellation is appreciated, although it is not required.

 

If you cannot contribute the minimum, you may inquire about the no-cost session waitlist, currently estimated at six to eight months.
